Mary M ~ We bought 2 colts and they are smart...learn fast, in your pocket fun.

As being first time haulers, Sam & I have had a great experience. The Hochhalters are an easy going and flexible group with great love and pride of their horses. The six weanlings we hauled were tame and easy to load. Each of the six were well built, stood tall, and looked very healthy with their bright eyes and clean coats. The tall dorsal striped grulla with a tiny star on his forehead really caught my eye. That strong dark brown colored dorsal stripe accentuated his figure and made him look sharp. I can tell Hochhalters put sufficient work into each with halter breaking them. I was very pleased to see that each followed very well and was watchful of where I was and didn’t try to run me over. Overall, for anyone interested in purchasing a weanling from Hochhalters, it is well worth your money knowing you will be getting a great horse!

Courtney V. W. ~ I bought a QH weaning from Deb earlier this month and I could not be happier. She is so calm, willing, and well behaved. I get so many compliments on her from everyone around the barn. I would definitely recommend buying from Deb and Terry, you will NOT be disappointed! I hope I can buy from them again in the future.

Jeremy L~  I bought a colt from Deb a few years ago and he's been great. Luckily (for me) they live so far away or I'd have bought more colts then I would know what to do with from them!

Christine M~ I highly recommend Deb's horses!! I bought a colt and a two year old mare from Deb a year ago and they are both Great!! They both have great temperaments and are easy to work with. I loved both horses so much that I bought another mare from Deb a couple months ago and she is everything I expected, great temperament and easy to work with. If I could I would buy up the whole lot! :) For sure will do business with her again and recommend her horses to anyone who asks where to get one. I have had many people complement me on the horses I have from her place. If you want a Great horse you are looking in the right place!!!

Julie T ~ I have bought at least 6 horses from Deb and Terry.
They have all been very well tempered and easily trained.
I drool over the babies every year. I am hoping to buy two
mares from them this fall.

Deb N~ These people are so great. They are the best to work with. Buying a handsome colt!

JAYDEN:  Doc Melodia's 2012 Stud Colt

Hi I just wanted to let you know that I really really like the colt I bought from you guys! He is riding so well and is gonna be a big boy. Stands 14.2 H as a 2 year old.
We took him out to the badlands (Little Missouri State park in Killdeer N.D) and he did wonderful.
He is doing so well. We can lift up his feet with no problem to get them trimmed. He has grown to probably around the 14.1 H already. So is a pretty good sized yearling. Probably one of the gentlest horses we have. Will come walking up to you when we are in the corral.
We had him in the barn a lot last winter and really pushed the grain, and he has filled out so nice. Has a huge hip, large bone and a great disposition. I'm guessing he will probably get around the 15.1 HH cause he has grown a lot his yearling year.  I call him Deacon, and boy he doesn't even look like a yearling, doesn't have that high back end or anything. Just by the way he acts and how gentle/calm he is I'm guessing he will be a dream to work with on braking. I can brush him everywhere, throw a saddle blanket/pad on him without him even caring. Will stand tied all day and lead wherever.
I do have to say though through all of the young horses we have boughten, yours have been the calmest and most easiest to work with. It was so nice having him halter broke, standing tied and having his feet worked with already. That made a huge difference in his training!
